Stand up Joy Fold Card - Watercolor Wings

  • When I first saw the new catalog, I could not wait to play with the new Watercolor Wings Stamp Set and the Bold Butterfly Framelits.  I also fell in love with the Hostess Set - Floral Wings.  I spent some time making butterflies, using both the Bold Butterfly Framelits, Butterflies Thinlits, and the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set.  It was fun coming up with different color combos and some beauitful butterflies.  After a desk full of Butterflies, I figured I should make some cards.
  • Above is one of the cards I created using a couple butterflies.  I used the Large Lots of Labels Framelits as a backdrop.  I stamped the Vine and Flowers from the Hostess Floral Wings Set a couple times using the Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.  I trimmed the Watermelon Wonder Label and layered behind the Very Vanilla piece.
  • The script stamp is from Background Builder Stamp Set-Retired (sorry).

Stand Up Flower Pot Pocket Card

I made a flower pot card years ago and I have been thinking about making another one with Spring so near.  I played with the flower dies and my flower punches.  I knew I wanted to use the New Berry Basket Bigz Die.  After playing with the Flower Frenzy Bigz Die and the Bouquet Bigz Die, which I really loved, the flowers were just too big for the card.  I did use the Stem Leaves from the Flower Frenzy and the Leaves from the Bouquet Die.  I used the Pansy, Boho Blossoms, Petite Petals, 3-flowers (Retired), 5-Petal (retired) and Bitty Punch Pack (Retired) Punches for the flowers.  I will say if you get the Bouquet Bigz die, you must get the Build a Bouquet Stamp Set there are a lot of stamps in this set.  I was on the fence with this set, but it is great set for flowers and backgrounds.  I used this stamp set for the lines on Berry Basket, the dots on the flowers, and the center for the White and Crisp Cantaloupe Flower.   I meant to stamp the leaves but I forgot.  The Butterfly was used with the New SAB Nature's Perfection Stamp Set.  The little (Bread) Clip is from the Handpicked Framelits.  I love that little clip.  The "Best Buds" is from the Matching Stamp Set From the Garden.  The "One of a Kind" is from a retired Postage Due Stamp Set.

I did use the Kraft Paper for the cardbase because I wanted it to be sturdy.

The great thing about this card is it will fit inside a regular envelope.  I would recommend hand delivering this card or pay for extra postage.

SAB A Happy Thing Scallop Tag Card

I know that the Scallop Tag Card have been around since the Scallop Tag Punch came out and I have been meaning to make one.  I sat down in my craft room and created this one using the SAB A Happy Thing Stamp Set.  I also used the Gorgeous Grunge and the Butterfly Basic Stamp Sets which are my favorites for creating a vintage look to cards. The card base is Soft Suede with layers of Soft Sky and Very Vanilla.  I used an Retired 3-flower punch for the Soft Sky flowers.  The trim on the inside of the card is a strip of Soft Suede a little less than an inch wide and I used the Scallop Border Punch on both sides.

I stamped the bird on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and used the Blendabilities to color the bird.  I fussy cut the bird and added him to the card front using dimensionals.

To add to the vintage look, I sponged everything with the Soft Suede Ink.

I do like the way this card turned out.  I will have to play more with this card shape.
