Pansy Card

This is one of the cards from my Spring Everyday Workshop. This card showcases another way to use the Butterfly punch; butterfly to pansy. This card was a little time consuming but everyone loved it. It looks great in person. I used the Shimmery White Cardstock for the pansy; I think the paper holds up better with all the sponging and the finial misting of Shimmer Mist Spray.

Open Sea Easel Card

This card is the other make-n-take from the Lions Club Crop this past Saturday. I love the color combo of Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, and Natural Ivory with “The Open Sea” Stamp Set and the new “Stripes” Textured Impressions Embossing Folder; very nautical. Let me just say that I love the new Denim Ribbon…I love the feel of it. The Blue matches Night of Navy.

Scallop Easel Card

This card is one of the make-n-takes from the Lions Club Crop this past Saturday. I love the color combo of Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand with the image from the Elements of Style Stamp Set and the Faux Silk technique. I loved the image so much; I had to make it into an easel card so the receiver can display the card. I really think the one thing that really makes this card is the few sprays of the Champagne Shimmer Mist Spray. It really makes it sparkle and gives it a silk look (The pictures does not do it justice).

You can find instructions for the Easel Card and the Faux Silk at Splitcoaststampers.

Zoo Review meets Well Worn

This is another Stamp set that I loved when I saw the new catalog. (Zoo Review) I love the look of the images. I think they will look great on a scrapbook page of a Zoo Trip but I am really thinking Disney Animal Kingdom. I do like the images on cards too. I used the same layout but different colors, making one masculine card and a child birthday card.

I used the new Well Worn Designer Series Paper, I love the colors in this pack; Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, River Rock, Soft Suede, and So Saffron.

For the child birthday card I used Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, and River Rock. The masculine card I used, So Saffron, Cajun Craze, and Not Quite Navy.

Merry & Type

Have you seen the new catalog? This "Merry & Type" stamp set was one of the first sets that caught my eye. I made a promise to myself that I would get my Christmas Cards for my workshop done before the end of August. So I played with this stamp set and I came up with two different layouts, I know they look very similar. I can't decide on which one I like best, but I am leaning towards the "Peace on Earth" card. If you can't tell from the pictures, yes I did spray the card fronts with Shimmer Mist Spray.

STAMPS: Merry & Type (Wood #122550, Clear #122552; Word Play (Wood #120308, Clear #120651; Delightful Dozen (Wood #122650, Clear #122652), Snow Swirled (Wood #111690).

PUNCHES: Scallop Oval (#119856), 3/16" Corner (#119871), 1-3/4" Circle (#119850), 2-3/8' Scallop Circle (#118874).
