Soot Stamping meets Tall Ship

Fancy Favor Box and Ribbon Bookmark

Ribbon Bookmark with Soot Stamping and Cracked Glass Technique

Here's a ribbon bookmark and gift box that I made for my husband. I used the Tall Ship stamp in the "Beware Pirates" stamp set because it is one of his favorites. A few weeks ago I played around with the Soot Stamping technique on Splitcoaststampers. It is such a cool technique and I think it looks great with this image. I also thought the Cracked Glass technique on Splitcoaststampers was a cool touch to the bookmark.

SC245 Card Sketch and another Anniversary Card

Here's another anniversary card that I made using the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set (#115026, pg 110) with SplitcoastStampers Card Sketch SC245. It uses the same paper and colors as the one I made earlier this week it is just a different layout.

Night and Day Designer Paper

Here's a card that I created using an older Mojo Monday Sketch 94. When I see a sketch a like but not able to participate in the challenge, I save the sketches for me to use at another time. I thought this sketch would help showcase the new "Night & Day Specialty Designer Series Paper" (#116768, pg 11 in holiday mini). This is a very pretty paper pack that also has 2 printed window sheets. I think this designer series paper looks wonderful not only for Halloween but anytime you want something a little fancier.

I also added the "White Organza Ribbon" (#114319, pg 183) and sponged the edges of with the "Frost White Shimmer Paint" (#116854, pg 27 holiday mini) for the finishing touch.

September is the month for anniversaries in our family. We have four anniversaries in one week of September. Hence the number of anniversary cards you will be seeing. Of course I want to make each one a little different. My mom and sister will just have to guess which one they will get in the mail. Hehehe

Lovely as a Tree

Here's a card that I made for my husband. It was made using the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set (#115026, pg 110). I have been wanted to do this tree since I saw Stampin' Up!'s Workshop Wow 2007-2008 DVD. When I saw the DVD I did not have the stamp set and I did not get it until December last year, which was too late to make a fall card. I can't figure out where I put the DVD or I would have put the demonstrator's name that showed this cool trick.

With my stamp inked with Soft Suede, I stamped it on my grid paper once, than stamped on the ivory card stock. I took my "Stampin' Pastels" (#105542, pg 154) and randomly sponged a little Ruby Red, Real Rust, More Mustard into the leaves of the tree. I used the Close to Cocoa for the tree trunk and Old Olive for the grass. Next I used the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" to line up the stamp image and stamped the tree image again.

The rest of the card is made with Real Rust, More Mustard, Soft Suede and Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper. I added three 5/8" Neutral brads (#112533, pg 179) for the perfect touch.

**Halloween Photo Wallet - I heard from a few people that would like me to post the a tutorial on my blog for the Halloween Photo Wallet I posted last week. I will post a tutorial on my blog but not sure when I will get to it, hopefully in a week or so. I need to get the some of my other projects done. If you want to make one but can't wait for the tutorial than go to Amy Celona's Web Site. I came across her version of the Photo Wallet about a year ago and made changes because I did not have the right size envelopes. I used Stampin' Up! Small Open End Envelopes.

Final Sneak Peek

Here's the final Sneak Peek of the October Scrapbook Stamp Camp. These pages I used the new "Delightful Decorations" stamp set from the Holiday Mini (#116517, pg 24) and the coordinating "Ornament" punch (#116794, pg 25). I also used the "Color Spritzer Tool" (#107066, pg 192) to add a little color to the background pages.
Please leave a comment or email me if you have a question.

Another Sneak Peek

Here's another Sneak Peek of the October Scrapbook Stamp Camp. This one I used the "Good Cheer" stamp set (#115326, pg 34), "Christmas Greetings" stamp set (#115448, pg 28) and the "Soft Holly" standard wheel (#112968, pg 35). The colors are Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy and Naturals Ivory, I thought they went beautifully with the old fashion Santa Claus. I also distressed the edges and sponged with the new "Shimmer Paint Champagne Mist" (#116806, mini catalog).

Can't come to the Stamp Camp but would love the pages. I'm selling the kit for $30.00 plus shipping and handling (with no stamped images) or a completed set for $40.00 plus shipping and handling. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing the kit or completed set. The deadline to order will be Friday, September 11, 2009. The kits/sets will be shipped the first week of October.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Karen
