Lovely as a Tree

Here's a card that I made for my husband. It was made using the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set (#115026, pg 110). I have been wanted to do this tree since I saw Stampin' Up!'s Workshop Wow 2007-2008 DVD. When I saw the DVD I did not have the stamp set and I did not get it until December last year, which was too late to make a fall card. I can't figure out where I put the DVD or I would have put the demonstrator's name that showed this cool trick.

With my stamp inked with Soft Suede, I stamped it on my grid paper once, than stamped on the ivory card stock. I took my "Stampin' Pastels" (#105542, pg 154) and randomly sponged a little Ruby Red, Real Rust, More Mustard into the leaves of the tree. I used the Close to Cocoa for the tree trunk and Old Olive for the grass. Next I used the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" to line up the stamp image and stamped the tree image again.

The rest of the card is made with Real Rust, More Mustard, Soft Suede and Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper. I added three 5/8" Neutral brads (#112533, pg 179) for the perfect touch.

**Halloween Photo Wallet - I heard from a few people that would like me to post the a tutorial on my blog for the Halloween Photo Wallet I posted last week. I will post a tutorial on my blog but not sure when I will get to it, hopefully in a week or so. I need to get the some of my other projects done. If you want to make one but can't wait for the tutorial than go to Amy Celona's Web Site. I came across her version of the Photo Wallet about a year ago and made changes because I did not have the right size envelopes. I used Stampin' Up! Small Open End Envelopes.

Thanks for looking! If you have any questions, please send me an email.
