In The Meadow

Here's another card I made using the In the Meadow stamp set without the deer.  It was hard for me not to put the deer on the card but I did it.  The DSP paper on the bottom half of the card is from the Going Places DSP Stack.

SAB Sky is the Limit 2 ways

I love the SAB Sky is the Limit stamp set.  I am sad that it is for a limited time but I do love the set. You can get this stamp set now through February 15th.  I wanted to make 2 different types of cards,  One (below) that is a beginner/quick/ card.  The one above is just a step up, the same layout but I added a layer of watercolor paper that I colored the sky and added a layer of fun foam to the back.

I used the sample in the SAB Catalog for my inspiration.  I thought it was time for me to pull out the Tree Builder Punch, for the clouds.  This Bi-Plane is just screaming for some clouds.  I did stack 2 dimensionals to the back of the Bi-Plane and only 1 dimensional to the back of the clouds.  I really wanted the 3-d look.  Both of these cards are quick to recreate.

In the Meadow Z-Fold Card

Here's another card I made using the In the Meadow Stamp Set.  I thought I would change it up a little by making it into a Z-fold card.

You can't tell by this photo but I used the Wink Of Stellar on the lake.

Thanks for stopping by!

In the Meadow

Here's a card I made using the In the Meadow stamp set from the Occasion Catalog.  I love to watercolor and the images from this stamp set, are wonderful to use.  This is the first card using this set, I will post another card tomorrow.  I used my Aqua Painter with my Ink pads, Markers and I played with the Zig Clean Color Brush Pens.  To be honest, I saw a video on them I thought I would love them.  Well I love the pens, I am just not happy with the colors.  I am so use to Stampin Up colors, I had a hard time getting the colors I wanted.  I even bought the 60 pens because I wanted more colors.  So I only used the Zig's No.072 Beige on the deer.  I loved the color I achieved and was not able to get that with the Stampin Up Ink pads or markers.

I started out watercoloring the sky and grass with the Ink pads and Aqua painter.  Next I stamped the Deer, flowers and grass with the Old Olive.  I used my Stampin Up Markers to color the flowers.  I stamped the Deer on a scrap piece of waterccolor paper using the Staz On Timber Brown and colored using the Zig No. 072 beige and Aqua Painter to color the deer (yup, I fussy cut the deer out).

Thanks for looking and letting me know what you think.

Picture Perfect meets Botanical Blooms

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wishing everyone a Happy New Year.  I made sure to create some memories with my family and we all had such a great time it was hard getting back into the swing of things.

Here's a card I created last week and meant to get it uploaded but just did not get to it, sorry.  The first stamp I wanted to play with from the New Occasion Catalog was the hummingbird from the Perfect Picture stamp set.  I just loved being able to stamp the color to the image.  I had to practice on a scrap piece of paper to get the hang of it but I really love the way it turned out.  I used Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay (stamped twice), and Jet Black.  I wanted the hummingbird to hover around some flowers and so I pulled out the new Botanical Builders.  I cut out some flowers, and leaves using Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Mossy Meadow scraps. I had fun assembling the flowers and arranging them on the card.  I did highlight the flowers and bird with the Clear Wink of Stellar pen.  At first I used the 1/8" Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon (smaller picture above) and after taking the picture, I decided to change the ribbon out with the 3/8" Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, I was not sure what to except with this ribbon but I like the feel of it.  It is thinner than I excepted which makes it easy to tie and for the knot to stay in place but it adds the perfect amount of sparkle to a card.
