My First Video - Masculine Brick Wall Birthday
I finally sat down to make my first video. I decided to make it on the Masculine Brick Wall Birthday Card. There are a couple mess ups but I hope you like it.
I hope to make some more videos.
I did create another video it is a similar card, the video can be found here. These both were for a card class and I wanted to create a video instead of doing directions.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Karen

Make a Wish Brick Wall
I wanted to make a Masculine Card again using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. With this card the brick wall was a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Smoky Slate. I lightly sponged it using Smoky Slate and Night of Navy. I added two coats of the colors. I like using the bigger piece when I use this folder so I can trim and use the extra for the inside of the card.
Here's a video on this card.

Lattice with Brick Wall
I came across a lattice card using the Lots of Labels Framelits on Linda Bauwin Blog - http://stampingwithlinda.typepad.com/. I thought it was such a cute idea and I had to make one. I used the Brick Wall Embossing folder as a backdrop. I used the retired Sizzlits Little Leaves and the branch from the bird punch for the little flowers to sit on. The brick wall is attached to the new Thick White Cardstock.

PPA260 Two Cards
When I saw this week's PPA260 sketch, I thought it would be great to use with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. I decided to pull out a retired SAB set call Feeling Sentimental. I have been wanting to make a Dr Who card for a few family members that are Dr. Who fans. I thought the Brick Wall would be a great backdrop for the image. For the inside, I had to use the Retired Carry On Stamp Set.
Since I was playing with the Retired SAB set, I wanted to play with my other favorite image from this set. I love the vintage bike, so I decided to try and make a vintage brick wall. I was not sure what colors to use, truly I added so many colors I am going to have to recreate and write them down. With my Very Vanilla Piece of paper I used Smoky Slate, Tip Top Taupe, a little Cajun Craze, more Tip Top Taupe, some Whisper White. I was really going for a grayish wall but ended up with this and was not sure what colors to use on the card, nothing worked with it so I added some Delightful Dijon to the wall and I loved it. I had to use the new lace ribbon and the little flowers to give it that feminine touch.

Masculine Brick Wall Birthday
I could not wait to play with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. This card was created using a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I lightly sponged in a circular pattern using Soft Suede, than Cajun Craze and next Early Espresso. Next I added some more Cajun Craze and Soft Suede until I got the color I wanted. Since the Brick Wall is the focal point of this card, I did not want to add too much so I pulled out my Triple Banner Punch and Happy Birthday, Everyone Stamp Set for the greeting. Other than the sponging it was a fairly quick card to put together. I added a little piece of the brick wall for the inside.
I now have a video for this card and can be found here.

Winner for Bridal Shower Invite
The Winner for the Bridal Shower Invites, which I really love. This card is a great card to mass produce, they will be making 60 of these cards. The cardbase is Crumb Cake and a touch of Blushing Bride and Blackberry Bliss with the focal on the Tea Lace Doily. The "You're Invited" was printed at home and punched out using the Word Window Punch. .
Again all the Shower Invites I made could be made into a Birthday, Think of you, really any girly card you need.

Bridal Shower Invite 3 & 4
After they added last year's Blackberry Bliss Ribbon to Clearance Rack last week, I knew I had to add order some extra and add that to the samples of Invites. I wanted to use the Tea Lace with this card because to me that just calls out Bridal and Vintage. With the Tea Lace, I used the Retired Natural White Paper, I think that adds to the Theme as well. The inside will be printed with the information and stamped with another flower.
I wanted to show the different types of ribbon that could be used on the invites, I do love the new In-Color Cotton Ribbon but I like the invite with the Tea Lace Doily more.

Bridal Shower Pocket Invite
I was asked to come up with some sample Bridal Shower Cards with the intent of the Bridal Party putting them together, like a card class. I thought that was a great idea and loved to come up with some ideas. After finding out the wedding is a Rustic Barn Style with wild flowers. The colors were between a Blackberry Bliss and Crisp Cantaloupe or Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride. Here is the first card I create; a classic pocket style card. With this card I went with the Blackberry Bliss and Crisp Cantaloupe and Sahara Sand. I was not sure if they wanted White or Ivory. This card I went with the Very Vanilla. For all the samples I used the Hardwood Stamp Set and the New Wild About Flowers Stamp Set. With this card I did add the grass from the Wetland Stamp set. It went with some of the pictures they sent me.
This card could very easier be changed into a Birthday card or any type of Invitation.
